We're Hiring: Bar Supervisors, Shift Managers, and Managers
2Bears Tavern Group (The SoFo Tap, 2Bears Tavern Uptown, Meeting House Tavern, Jackhammer and Marty’s Martini Bar) is looking to expand our management team to complement our Operations Management and Programming/Events Management teams. We are seeking passionate and experienced Bar Supervisors, Shift Managers, and Managers who have experience in high-volume and fast paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage daily operations, ensuring efficient bar performance and high standards of customer service
- Team Management: Oversee bar team to ensure a high level of service and professionalism. Foster a culture of growth and learning through continuous training and development
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality of product, presentation, and service standards to ensure they meet our expectations
- Event Coordination: Oversee and coordinate programming and event execution to ensure they meet our brand standards and follow agreements with third parties. Work to ensure we do everything possible to meet the expectations of guests
- Assist in Programming Development: Coordinate with internal production and management teams to maintain and innovate programming across spaces that reflects current industry trends and customer preferences, ensuring our offerings remain competitive
- Financial Oversight: Handle cash management/daily closeout as assigned, coordinate with Operations Management to implement inventory oversight and controls, ensure efficient staffing by making suggestions about scheduling, oversee team to increase productivity and efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or management level experience in a beverage-focused environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to foster positive relationships with team members, customers, and third-party promoters
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Creative problem-solving skills and the capacity to work well under pressure
- Experience in hosting and managing events and parties in bar and nightclub settings
- A strong presence on the floor, with the ability to actively engage with guests and oversee service delivery
- Valid Illinois BASSET/ServSafe Alcohol certificate and Illinois Food Handler certificate, or the ability to obtain such certifications
Compensation + Benefits
- Anticipated wage range of $18.75-$20.00 per hour, plus tips for tip-eligible shifts
- Paid time off in accordance with applicable Chicago ordinances
